How a book is written, what it costs, and what applies when something goes wrong.
How a book comes about
You describe an idea in a sentence and pick a genre, a length and a language. Fablewerk plans a complete chapter outline from it: who appears, where it happens, and what happens in each chapter.
You read that outline, change it — cast, places, organisations, the protagonist — and release it. Only the release starts the writing and spends credits.
The book is then written in the background, chapter by chapter, with checks in between. The run’s own page says in plain sentences what is happening and what was decided. You can close the page; the run keeps going.
What a book costs
- A book: 30 credits. That includes the full text, a generated cover and the narration.
- An outline preview: 1 credit per generation. A call that fails costs nothing, and looking at an outline you already have costs nothing either.
- More words, images inside the book, a glossary or a re-check cost extra. What they cost is on the estimate before you release — not after.
- Credits do not expire.
If a run breaks off
If a run breaks off before a book exists, the credits charged for it are returned. A run that never starts costs nothing.
Every charge and every refund appears with its reason in your statement. If something is missing there or looks wrong, write to us.

What is inside a book
Fablewerk does not simply write chapters one after another. It settles first what is true in this book — names, appearances, places, relationships — then checks whether it stayed true, and repairs what contradicts itself.
What it could not repair it does not hide: the report at the end names every finding, where it is in the text, and what happened to it.
Reading, listening, downloading
Every finished book can be read and heard straight away. It is narrated with the voices on your device; you can switch at any time, mid-chapter included.
For downloading there is EPUB and PDF, plus Word for your own books. The books are yours: publish them, give them away, sell them.
Account and data
Language, currency, theme and the newsletter live in settings. That is also where you delete your account — your books, bookmarks and highlights go with it.
What we store for as long as your account exists is in the privacy notice, sorted by purpose and retention period.
